William “Bill” Fredrick Gilbert Jr., age 78, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at his Pleasanton home. He was born at Maryville, Missouri on February 2, 1941 the son of William F. and Mildred B. Jarvis Gilbert. He graduated from Maryville High School in the Class of 1959. Bill was united in marriage to Diane Burchett on September 21, 1962 in Faucett, Missouri. They lived in several different states before settling in Pleasanton in 2008.

Together they worked buying and renovating homes. Bill attended the First Baptist Church, Mound City and enjoyed playing and singing music. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Patsy Rupp. Bill is survived by his wife, Diane; son, William Gilbert III, three daughters, Michelle Pankau, Jennifer Grindle, and Chandis Kee; a brother, Tim Gilbert; a sister, Ruth Reed; sixteen grand and seventeen great grandchildren.
