Wanda Sheppard (Smith)

Wanda Sheppard went to be with the Good Shepherd Tuesday, the 8th of January 2019 at the age of 92, in Lesterville, Missouri. She was born June 10, 1926 to the late Demcy Raymond Smith and Cordella (Barton) Smith in Oates, Missouri.

Wanda was united in marriage to O”Neal Linson and to this union was born one child. She was supervisor at the Hyer Boot Co. for 17 years in Olathe, KS. One of her own stitching designs she created, was incorporated in their line of western boots, which she was very proud of. Wanda lived most of her life in the Olathe and Mound City, KS areas. The later part of her life was spent in the Oates and Salem, MO areas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband O”Neal Linson and second husband Harvey Sheppard; one infant sister and sisters; Judy Smith, Verla Foster, Dejah Seute, Patsy Barton and Roberta Delashmit; 2 brothers – one infant and Cullivan Smith. Wanda is survived by her daughter Yvonne and son-in-law Paul Law of Kingsbury, TX; two grandchildren Terra Lee Hagman and Nathan O”Neal Hagman of Austin, TX; brother Harold Smith and wife Freedia of Lesterville, Missouri; sisters Eunice Stallings and husband Jack of Salem, Missouri; Betty Lewis and husband Perry of Salem, MIssouri; Claudette Barton of Cherryville, MIssouri; numerous nieces and nephews.

Her wit, laughter, beauty and charm will be very missed.

A graveside funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday June 22, 2019 at the Parker Cemetery in Parker, Kansas. Online condolences can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com. Arrangements: Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel.
