Virgil Eugene Stevens age 60, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away on Thursday December 26, 2019. He was born on November 13, 1959 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Ralph Virgil and Mary Roberta Norville Stevens. He served his country in United States Army before being honorably discharged. He married Brenda Kurtz on March 1, 1977.
She preceded him in death on July 21, 2005. He was also preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Jennifer Shaw and a grandson. Virgil worked for Westar Energy and was a member of the IBEW Union Local #403. He was a member of the Pleasanton First Baptist Church. Virgil worked hard and took care of his family as he and Brenda raised them. He is survived by two daughters, Crystal Stevens and Gina Faulkner, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 2 pm Saturday, January 4, 2019 at the Pleasanton First Baptist Church. Burial in the Pleasanton Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, January 3, from 5 to 7 pm at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Contributions are suggested to the Pleasanton First Baptist Church.
