Thomas Leslie Boyles, age 58, Foster, Missouri passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022. He was born in Fort Scott, Kansas on July 19, 1963 the son of Ronnie and Connie Harkness Boyles. He graduated from Rich Hill High School. He then attended Missouri Southern University receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.
He was united in marriage to Gayla Hester on January 19, 1985. Tom was a talented cabinet maker. He also worked as a deputy for the Bates County Sheriff’s Department, ran Ronnie’s Gun Shop and raised cattle. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and playing a good joke on someone. He loved his family and was proud to be “Poppy” and “Grandy” to his three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie, paternal grandparents, Leland and Ora Boyles and maternal grandmother, Lucille Ashley Ewing. Tom is survived by his mother, Connie Boyles, wife, Gayla, son Cody Boyles (Felisha), daughter, Lisa Boyles (Kaleb), a sister Vikki Howard, and three grandchildren, Reese, Hadley and Coy.
Visitation will be held from 3:30 pm to 6 pm Friday, April 22, 2022 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Graveside service will be 6:30 pm Friday, April 22 at the Salem Cemetery, Foster, Missouri. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Bates County Sheriff’s Posse, c/o Schneider Funeral Home, P.O.
