Robert Zane Hayes, age 63 of Fort Scott, Kansas passed away at his home on August 23, 2023.  He was born the son of Virgil and Berniece Copeland Hayes on June 26, 1960 at St. Louis, Missouri.  Robert enjoyed drawing and putting puzzles together, he had a great love for animals, especially dogs, he was known to make pets out of cows as well, he also loved children, especially those living in the trailer court as well as his nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Otis and Roger Hayes, two sisters, Connie Golden and Maryann.  He is survived by his wife Katherine, a daughter, Brianna Lynn Kosark, two brothers, Curtis and James Hayes, three granddaughters, Sophia, Emma and Vanapolle, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at the Pleasanton Cemetery.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Robert Hayes Memorial.  Online condolences may be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com
