Rita Marie (Stuart) Bridgeford, 68, formerly of Fort Scott, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022, at Hands to Lend Assisted Living in Houston, Texas. She was born July 27, 1953, in Fort Scott, Kansas, the daughter of Hally Eugene and Ula Marie (Lucas) Stewart.

Rita is survived by her sister, Alberta Herring, of Fort Scott, Kansas, and her brother, Stan Stewart, of LaCygne, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Eugene Stewart, and Larry Stewart.

Funeral Services for Rita will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 28, 2022, at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, with burial following in the Bronson Cemetery. Condolences may be submitted to the online guestbook at konantz-cheney.com.
