Richard Lee White, age 78, formerly of Linn Valley, Kansas passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at his daughters home in Bedford, Texas. He was born in Henderson, Kentucky on September 3, 1943 the son of James Arnett and Mildred Lucille Richmond White. He was united in marriage to Donna Hancock on April 6, 1962 in Henderson. She preceded him in death on February 27, 2015. Richard worked as Manager of Central Dispatch for Yellow Freight before retiring. Richard enjoyed fishing, gardening, campfires and watching the wildlife from his front porch.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, a sister Demova Curson and grandson Joshua White. Richard is survived by a daughter, Karen Leyva and husband Gabriel, two brothers, James Arnett White Jr., and Ivory Kenneth White, four sisters, Lavina June Walker, Betty Jean Moore, Wanda Faye Howell, and Grace Evelyn Ternes, a granddaughter Michelle Hendrickson and husband Ryan, a granddaughter-in-law Jessica Hall and husband Tristan and great grandchildren Kierston, Gavin, Alyssa, Makayla, Averi, Declyn and Lincoln.
A memorial service will be held at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, La Cygne Chapel, with the date to be announced soon. Visitation will be held an hour before service. Inurnment will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery.
