Reta Kathleene “Kathy” McCoy, age 76, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022.  She was born on May 26, 1946, in Butler, Missouri the daughter of Harry and Velma Good Cherry.  She graduated from Butler High School and attended cosmetology school.  Kathy was united in marriage to LeRoy McCoy on October 20, 1973, in the Pleasanton Presbyterian Church.  He preceded her in death on April 20, 2003.

She was a lover of animals.  She enjoyed working latch hook and ceramics and had a love for chocolate.  Kathy is survived by four sons, Danny Gaston, Monte McCoy, Christopher McCoy, and Dustin Hodges, two sisters, Louise Foster and Julia Perkey, four grandchildren, Jeremiah, Eden Lynn, Jayce and Lilly, and one great grandson, Jameson.   

Funeral service will be 2 pm Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.  Burial in the Benjamin Cemetery, Amoret, Missouri.  Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday, December 27 at the Pleasanton Chapel.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Kathy McCoy Memorial Fund, c/o Schneider Funeral Home, P.O.
