Ralph Eugene Wheeler, 79, of Fort Scott, Kansas, passed away peacefully in his home on January 15, 2024, in Fort Scott. Born on September 24, 1944, in Fort Scott, Ralph was a beloved father, grandfather, and friend to all.

Ralph had a zest for life and was known for his love of fishing, corny sci-fi movies, and food. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping, and creating lasting memories with his family. Ralph had a warm and humorous personality, always ready with a joke to crack  to put a smile on the faces of those around him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Wheeler, and his children Rachel Wheeler Pliler and Husband Michael Pliler ,  Joseph Lyon, Steven Lyon and Wife Sabrina Lyon, James Waring and wife Alicia Waring, Teresa Adkins and Husband Bill Adkins, Connie Koole and Husband Jerry Koole, Beverly Heer and Husband Jeremy Heer. As well as his cherished Grandchildren Payton McGee and Husband Alex McGee, Jordan Pliler, Nathaniel Lyon, Joshua Lyon, Brentley Waring, Gavin Koole, Makayla Koole, Justin Heer, Tim Heer, Carson Heer, Ryley Heer, Brandon Smith, Shelby Smith, Bailey Smith, and Great Grandson Solomon McGee.

Ralph had 13 siblings, 8 living and 5 deceased. A total of 13 grandchildren with 1 deceased and 5 Great Grandchildren.

There will be no funeral service, but a remembrance dinner will be scheduled at a later time.

Ralph Eugene Wheeler will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will forever be treasured by his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
