OraBelle Guilfoyle

OraBelle Guilfoyle was born on October 29,1931 in West Tulsa, OK to Francis and Josephine (Maguglin) Porche, the youngest of twelve children. She grew up in Chelsea and Ramona, OK. She married Patrick Paul Guilfoyle of Sperry, OK on January 21, 1947 to the union was born ten children. 

OraBelle earned her Associates in Medical Terminology at Fort Scott Community College. She became a Licensed Mental Health Tech (LMHT) and worked at Osawatomie State Hospital and Johnson County Residential Care Facility. OraBelle retired in 1993 and spent the rest of her time with family and traveling with her husband. Softball was her world; she was a coach for several teams in Greeley over the years.

Mrs. Guilfoyle was preceded in death by husband Patrick Guilfoyle; sons, Joe Guilfoyle, John Guilfoyle and wife Susie, and Mike Guilfoyle; grandson, Kyle Guilfoyle; her parents Francis and Josephine Porche; and all 11 siblings and 22 in-laws.  

OraBelle is survived by her sons, Tom Guilfoyle and his wife, Vickie, Parker, KS, Dave Guilfoyle and his wife, Cheryl, Grove, OK, Ronnie Guilfoyle and his wife, Donna, Louisburg, KS, Bill Guilfoyle and his wife, Gina, Lawson, MO, and Rick Guilfoyle and his wife Kim, Broken Arrow, OK; her daughters, Judy Petersen and her husband, Ken, Oro Valley, AZ, and Laura Krom and her husband, Dennis, Fort Scott, KS; twenty-two grand-children and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am, Saturday, October 16, 2021 at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Greeley, Kansas.  Burial in St John Cemetery.  Vigil of the deceased with praying of the rosary will be 5:30pm Friday, October 15, at the Church.  Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm at the Berea Building in Greeley.  Contributions are suggest to St Mary School, Fort Scott or St Rose School, Garnett, c/o Schneider Funeral Home, P.O.
