Lola Belle Rook Adams, age 95, Mound City, Kansas passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024.  She was born on August 23, 1928 in El Dorado, Kansas the daughter of Jess and Hazel Van Fleet Rook.  She was united in marriage to Bernal Adams in September of 1947.  They resided on his family’s dairy farm on Wesley Chapel Road until 1977 when they moved into Mound City.  

They remained active, but, especially enjoyed time camping at Branson in their fifth wheel camper.  Belle’s favorite job was having a day care in her home.  In later life she looked forward to a weekly pitch game with her card group.  She was a member of the Mound City United Methodist Church.  Belle was preceded in death by husband, Bernal in March of 1994 and daughter Diane in October of 2007.  

Graveside funeral service will be held 11 am Monday, June 10, 2024 at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10 am to departure for the cemetery at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory Mound City Chapel.  Memorial contributions are suggested to American Diabetes Foundation or the Mound City United Methodist Church.
