Lloyd Eugene “Gene” Dixon, age 80, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away on Tuesday June 11, 2019 at his home. He was born on October 31, 1938 in Chanute, Kansas the son of Howard W. and Dona M. Shouse Dixon. He graduated form McCune High School. Gene worked as a farmer, co-owned and operated Dixon”s Dari Curl, and was a mental health aid. However, he considered himself a coal miner, working for PandM Coal Company. He was a member of the United Mine Workers, the Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite Consistory. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Regina Marie. Gene is survived by his wife, Rosamay Dixon, three daughters; Melinda Nutt and Greg, Emily Dixon, and Vicky Swain; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Service will be held 11 am Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Visitation will be held form 10 am to service time at the Chapel.
