Linda Kay Klee, age 79, Mound City, Kansas passed away Monday, September 27, 2021. She was born in Norton, Kansas on October 3, 1941 the daughter of Timothy and Dorothy McAdams Ward. She was married to Henry Fredrick Klee in Steele City, Nebraska. To this union, four children were born. Over her lifetime, Linda lived in Barnes, Kansas, Steele City, Nebraska, Beatrice, Nebraska, North Pole, Alaska, and Mound City, Kansas. She attended the Mound City United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing cards, reading and crocheting. She worked as a site manager for Linn County Congregate Meals.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Carrie Lynn Klee, and a brother, Carl Dean Ward. Linda is survived by two sons, William Timothy Klee(Carol Lisa), and Gregory Scott Klee(Cynthia), a daughter, Mary Jo Wheeler(Robert), two brothers, Richard and Douglas Klopfenstein, a sister, Carol Klopfenstein, nine grandchildren, Amee, Kellee(Kristin), Jamee, Leslie, Emmlynn, Michael(Sarah), Kathryn(Scott), Christopher and Nicholas, and two great grandchildren, Aylee and Coryn.
Memorial service will be 11 am Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. Visitation will be from 5 to 6 pm Friday at the Mound City Chapel.
