LeRoy Turpen Sr. age 75, La Cygne, Kansas passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020.  He was born on January 17, 1945 the son of Joe Henry and Dorothy Mae Funk Turpen.  He graduated from La Cygne Rural High School in the Class of 1963.  LeRoy was united in marriage to Rose Bland on February 2, 1973 in La Cygne, Kansas.  He was a member of the Happy Hill Church of God.

 LeRoy knew and loved the Lord.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and listening to his granddaughter, Emily, sing.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  LeRoy is survived by his wife Rose, a son, Robert Turpen, Jr., a daughter Christy Black and husband Charles, a brother, Joe Turpen, Jr., three sisters, Kay DeMott, Linda Brumback, and Diane VanWinkle, and a granddaughter, Emily Black.  

Funeral service 10 am Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, La Cygne Chapel.  Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Friday, June 26 at the La Cygne Chapel.  Contributions are suggested to the Le Roy Turpen Memorial, c/o Schneider Funeral Home, P.O.
