Leonard Frank Fyock, age 92, formerly of Prescott, Kansas passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021. He was born on February 2, 1929 in Prescott, Kansas the son of Virgil and Bernice Lounsbury Fyock. He graduated from Prescott High School.
Leonard proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Betty Smith on May 20, 1951 in Mound City United Methodist Church. He worked for the Hume Sinclair Coal Mine. Leonard’s family was the most important thing in life to him, from his wife, to his two children, five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
He was a member of the Fulton United Methodist Church, American Legion Hewitt New Post #248, enjoyed eating candy while watching the birds and squirrels. He was also an avid card player. Leonard is survived by his wife, Bettty, son Terry Fyock and wife Susan, daughter, Judy Swickard and husband Cal, a sister, Rhonda Lee Chance, five grandchildren, Candi Kusler and husband Randy, Kenna Giambalvo and husband Vince, Summer Rhodes and husband Trenton, Autumn Fyock and wife Carla, Levi Fyock and wife Jennie, and eleven great grandchildren, Logan, Linsey, and Morgan Kusler, Vincent II and Vienna Giambalvo, Nova and Easton Rhodes, Sidney and Lundon Tersinar, and Gracie and Alice Fyock.
Funeral service will be 11 am Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Visitation will be from 10 am to service time at the Chapel.
