Lennie Dean Dale

Lennie Dean Dale, age 82, Hume, Missouri passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 at his home.  He was born on February 24, 1939 in New Home, Missouri the son of Lee and Aleta Bush Dale.  He was united in marriage to Evelyn McCormick on February 28, 1959.  She preceded him in death on March 17, 2012.  To this union, two children were born, Kevin and Sharyl.  Lennie worked for Beech Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas before returning to Butler, Missouri in 1969 where he owned a Standard Oil Station until 1972.  He then moved to Hume.  He worked for the City of Hume and later owned and operated Dale’s Service and Dale’s Country Inn.  Lennie was a member of the Hume Christian Church.  He liked to cut wood, harvest pecans, mushroom hunt, and spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He was also preceded in death by his parents, son, Kevin and wife, Ruth, and sister Leanna Sheehy and her husband Joe.  Lennie is survived by his daughter, Sharyl Dale, five grandchildren, three of which he proudly helped raise, Amanda Kirkland(Steve), Wesley Dale(Erica Pinneo), Deanna Lewis(Roscoe), Lorena Morrison(Scott) and Kimberley Dale, twelve great grandchildren, Jeremy, Blake, Dalen, Bryce, Evie-Lyn and Lincoln Lewis, Joseph and Michael Dale, Royann Dale, Braelynn, Brecklen, and Beriah Morrison, and Alexis Holland, four great great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Karl, and Kate Lewis, and Ja’velle Lewis, and one on the way, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.       

Funeral service will be held 10 am Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at the Hume Christian Church.  Burial in the Hume Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Monday, February 21 at the Church.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Hume Cemetery, c/o Schneider Funeral Home, P.O.
