Larry Duane Leonard

Larry Duane Leonard, age 77, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 in Louisburg, Kansas.  He was born the son of Ottis and Niona Rose Leonard on October 25, 1942 in Pleasanton, Kansas.  Larry married Neta Lee Montgomery in 1972 at Miami, Oklahoma, to this union they had two sons, Franklin and Larry Leonard.  Larry served in the National Guard for six years.

 He was a certified silversmith, he also loved fishing and hunting and flying radio controlled aircraft.  Over the years Larry was employed by R&M Coal company, the Linn County Sheriff’ Department and the Linn County Road Department.  Larry was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his wife, his two sons, two brothers, Darryl Leonard and wife, Vicki, and Jerry Leonard and wife, Jo, one granddaughter, Hannah and one great grandson, Noah.

There will be a Memorial Service at 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.  Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Friday, January 31, 2020 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.  Contributions are suggested to Linn County Care to Share and may be sent in care of Schneider Funeral Home P.O.
