John David Ross, age 61 of Edwardsville, Kansas formerly from Pleasanton, Kansas passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022. John was born September 27, 1960, the son of James and Carrie (New) Ross in Kansas City, Kansas. He was a young entrepreneur and owned two car lots in the 1980’s and sold Christmas trees from those lots during the holidays. He loved all holidays, Halloween was one of his favorites as he enjoyed going trick or treating with his daughters. 

After his motor vehicle accident in the early 1990’s he was unable to work full-time due to his brain injury. Nonetheless he still remained the same caring , onery, funny and humble man that he always was. He enjoyed cars, especially older corvettes, good food, dancing, listening to music, action movies and was a church going man of God. He would reach out to help people in the community anytime he had the opportunity to do so, but above all he loved his girls. John is survived by his children, Amy (Juan) Ross-Chavez, Samantha Ross, and Cortney (Caleb) Fangman, 8 grandchildren, and sister Brenda (Bob) Harris. John was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings; James, Linda and Barbra.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.  Visitation will be at 1:00 pm until service time March 12, 2022 at the chapel.  Burial will follow in the Pleasanton Cemetery.  The family suggests contributions to the John Ross Memorial Fund and may be sent in care of Schneider Funeral Home P.O.
