Jane Ellen Allcorn

Jane Ellen Allcorn, 73, of Blue Mound, Kansas died on Monday, April 11, 2022 at her home following a long and courageous battle with cancer.  Jane was born March 25, 1947 in Council Grove, KS to Clifford and Doris (Pearson) Crozier.  She graduated from Osawatomie High School.  On July 14, 1962 she married John William Allcorn at the Christian Church in Osawatomie, Kansas.  He preceded her in death on August 10, 2016.  Jane worked as a custodian for Jayhawk Linn Unified School District 346 schools for many years and loved her job.  She considered so many of the staff family.

Jane had a genuine concern for the people in her life, helping in anyway she could.  Janie, as she was affectionately known, and John were members of National Street Rod Association (NSRA) and involved in car shows all over the area and loved meeting new people.  Jane enjoyed taking care of others and while doing so treated them to many delicious meals and treats.  She made the best Christmas candy ever, but her best kitchen creation was her wonderful cheesecake.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jane was preceded in death by one son, Adam Wade Allcorn on February 2, 2022; and one sister Peggy.  Survivors include one son, Andrew William Allcorn; two granddaughters, Mallory Meiwes, and Hannah Wiswell; 2 great-granddaughters, Nema Rose Tripp and Finley Jo Meiwes; three great-grandsons, Renner Edward Meiwes, Chase Ray Wiswell, and Colt Wade Wiswell; two brothers, Tom (Loretta) Crozier  and Raymond Crozier; one sister, Shirley.

Memorial service will be 10 am Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Blue Mound Federated Church.  Visitation will be held from 9 am to service time at the Church.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Jane Allcorn Funeral Expense Fund, c/o Schneider Funeral Home, P.O.
