Freddie Ray Miller

Freddie Ray “Fred” Miller, age 66, Fort Scott, Kansas passed away Thursday, December21, 2023.  He was born in Garnett, Kansas on April 12, 1957 the son of Don Miller and Harrietta Dunlap Miller.  He graduated from Jayhawk Linn High School.  Fred was united in marriage to Debra Smith on June 25, 1977.  His talent of tinkering and fixing things led to a career in maintenance.  He was last employed as a Jayhawk Linn USD 346 driver, where he was liked by the students,  staff, and co-workers.  He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his granddaughters, Lily and Mallorie, cutting wood, tinkering, dancing with his wife, and anything outdoors.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Don Wayne Miller, and two sisters, Freda Miller and Patricia Ann Miller.  Fred is survived by his wife, Debbie Miller, a daughter, Danielle Casey and husband Logan, a sister, Vickie Sue Louk, two granddaughters, Lily and Mallorie Casey and his faithful canine companion, Diesel.

Funeral service will be 10 am Friday, December 29, 2023 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel.  Burial will be in the Sunny Slope Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, December 28 at the Mound City
