Douglas Craig Hunziker, 61, of Fort Scott, passed away Thursday morning February 9, 2023, at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kansas. He was born March 24, 1961, in Fort Scott, Kansas, the son of Donald Glen Hunziker and Opal Maxine (Christy) Hunziker. He married Carol Michelle Baird on May 20, 2000, and she survives of the home.

In addition to his wife Carol, Doug is also survived by his mother, Maxine Hunziker, of Fort Scott; his children, Brandy Clayton (Cody), also of Fort Scott, Amber Hunziker, of Spring Hill, Florida, and Ryan Hunziker (Amber), of Fort Scott; a brother, David Hunziker, of Fort Scott; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Hunziker, a son, Drew Pelzer, and a sister, Christie Belcher.

Services for Doug will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, with a visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
