David Trinkle

The family of David Trinkle sadly regrets to announce his passing. David lost his battle with cancer January 16, 2020. He was in the VA Hospital in Kansas City, MO. David was born Dec. 23, 1950 in La Cygne, Ks. He was a Vietnam Veteran of which he was very proud.

He lived in La Cygne a number of years, owed and operated the La Cygne Standard Station as well as being the city policeman and ambulance driver. Along with his mother he owned The Outpost Bar for almost 20 yrs. He later made his residence in Kansas City, MO until the time of his death. He leaves behind his children; Missy Smith, Lanna Moore, Chris Trinkle and Jamie Brooks (Mitch); his brother, Larry Trinkle (Evey), a sister, Marla Chambers; nieces, nephews, 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and many many friends.

Funeral service will be 10 am Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, La Cygne Chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm Monday at the Schneider Chapel. Contributions are suggested to Wounded Warriors or American Cancer Society, c/o Schneider Funeral Home, P.O. Box 304, La Cygne, Kansas.
