Clayton L. Stoker, age 89, La Cygne, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020. He was born on April 20, 1931 in La Cygne the son of Lawton and Alice Terry Stoker. He graduated from La Cygne High School in the Class of 1949. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
Clayton was united in marriage to Mair Richards on September 11, 1954 in Loudwater, England. Together they raised the family with Clayton working as a carpenter and farmer. He was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. He was a member of the American Legion and a sixty plus year member of the Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mair, a brother Gerald Stoker and a sister, Margaret Wier. Clayton is survived by two daughters, Cheryl (Richard) Speck, and Bronwen (Tom) Sharp, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral service will be held 2 pm Friday, November 27, 2020 at the Star Valley Cemetery, La Cygne, Kansas. Mask wearing and social distancing will be in place. Contributions are suggested to Azria Health Olathe, c/o Schneider Funeral Home, P.O. Box 304, La Cygne, Kansas 66040.
