Charles Lee Klempnauer

Charles Lee Klempnauer, age 75, of the Tanglewood Lake Community near La Cygne, Kansas passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at his home. He was born in Kansas City, Kansas on December 22, 1943 the first born of eleven children of Charles and Martha Schiller Klempnauer. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in both the United States Air Force and the United States Army. He married Betty Swindell on April 18, 1996 at Miami, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Charles is survived by his wife, Betty; other family and friends.

 

A visitation will be held from 12:30 pm to 2 pm Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, La Cygne Chapel. Graveside service with military honors will be conducted by the Olson Frary Burkhart VFW Post 1165 at 11 am Monday, July 1 at Fort Scott National Cemetery.
