August 1, 1936 – May 25, 2024

Berta R. Weddle, 87, of Nevada, Missouri, passed away May 25, 2024, at the Moore-Few Care Center. She was born August 1, 1936, in Hepler, Kansas, the daughter of Willard Weddle and Xerphia (Newell) Weddle. She married Lloyd Durwood Pollock and they later divorced. Berta worked at the Downtowner Restaurant in Fort Scott, Kansas, for thirty-four years as a cook and waitress, and then later as the restaurant manager.

Berta is survived by her son, Lloyd Wayne Pollock, of McKinney, Texas; a brother, Terry Weddle, of Fort Scott; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her ex- husband Lloyd in 2018, a brother, Larry Weddle, and three sisters, Donna Felt, Janice Hogan, and Judy Hood.
