Deloris Marie Baldwin

Deloris Marie Baldwin, age 88, formerly of Butler, Missouri, passed away on October 1, 2024 in Topeka, Kansas. She was born the daughter of Orville Glen and Leora Ellington Brownback on September 7, 1936, in Centerville, Kansas. Deloris graduated from Parker High School and continued her education by obtaining an associate degree from Fort Scott Community College.

She married Arnot Franklin Baldwin, Jr. on February 1, 1953, at the Methodist Church in Parker, Kansas. He preceded her in death on August 18, 2024. Deloris and Frank lived on a family farm near Fontana, Kansas until their retirement when they moved to Missouri. Throughout her years, besides helping her husband run the farm, she worked as an office specialist in the accounting field. She held positions in agriculture, law enforcement, a seating manufacturing company and in state office administration.

Deloris was very creative working with textiles. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting and sewing, and many family members and friends were gifted with her beautiful creations. She was a Cadmus 4-H leader as well as a judge at the county fairs. Early on while on vacation, Deloris noticed the midwest did not have any 4-H exhibits in needlework.
