Joyce Irene Pitts, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, age 75, Mound City, Kansas passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023.  She was born July 31, 1948 the daughter of James A. Pitts and Wanda I. West.  She had many different occupations during her
working career, including retail and hotel management, and waitressing.  She enjoyed gardening and most importantly spending time with her loved family.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, James H. Pitts, and a sister, Julie Green.  Joyce is survived by her husband, Terry Crump, a daughter, Denese Bright and husband Charles, two sons, James Brown, and Daren Brown, a sister, Janet Kerr, seven grandchildren, John Bright, Brandi Pohlmeier, Wayne Bright, Caleb Brown, Laurel Brown, Tayler Bailey, and Shiann Brown, eleven great grandchildren, Austin Oberlechner, Blake Pohlmeier, Kylia Pohlmeier, Macey Pohlmeier, Roberta Bright, Gracee Bright, Jaxx Bright, Tripp Bright, Messiah Carter, Lilyann Carter, three great great grandchildren, Grayson Oberlechner, Tavyn Oberlechner, and Huxlei Oberlechner, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Graveside service will be held 2:30 pm Thursday, October 26, 2023 at the Woodland Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 1 pm to 2 pm Thursday at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.  Online condolences can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
