Mary Dolores Warta, age 94, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away September 8, 2023.  She was born on February 3, 1929 in Prescott, Kansas the daughter of Vye and Essie Cannon Lewis.  She worked for Westinghouse as a clerk for several years before retirement.  She attended the Prescott United Methodist Church and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution(DAR).   She enjoyed gardening and collecting coins, dolls, and recipes.  She was also very interested in genealogy.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.  Mary is survived by two sons, Marvin Warta and wife Janice, and Rawlin Warta and wife Mona, four grandchildren, Karen, Frank, Cassie and Christina, and seven great-grandchildren, Kayla, Charlotte, Frank, Brennan, Rylie, Bobby, and Grace.

Funeral service will be 11 am Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at the Prescott United Methodist Church.  Burial will be in the Battlefield Cemetery.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Olathe Hospice House.  Online condolences can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
