Dennis N. Mayes, age 62, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023 as the result of an automobile accident.  He was born on April 28, 1961 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Floyd William and Esther Marie Kent Mayes Sr.  He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Hostetler.  She died in the accident as well. He worked as a carpenter, mechanic and basic all around handyman.  

He liked to fish and tinker.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Linda Hill.  Dennis is survived by three sons, Jason Mayes(Savannah), Phillip Mayes(Christa), and Christopher Mayes, two daughters, Nicole Elliott(Steve) and Stephanie Rueda, five brothers, Floyd Mayes Jr., Randy Mayes, Rick Mayes, Raymond Mayes, and Samuel Mayes, and eight grandchildren.
