Walter Lee McCarty II, age 62, Mound City, Kansas passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023.  He was born in Kansas City, Kansas on August 12, 1960 the son of Dennis and Lila Baldwin McCarty.  He worked as a laborer in the oil industry.  

He enjoyed being outdoors whether it was camping, fishing, hunting or shooting.  He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Tom McCarty, and a sister, Sheila McCarty.  Walter is survived by his wife, Cynthia Franklin, his mother, Lila McCarty, a son, Rande Chauvin, a brother, Dennis McCarty, a sister, Denise Zimmerman, and a grandson, Wesley Chauvin.
