Donna Faye (Coffin) Sutherland, age 96, went to be with the Lord on June 11, 2023 in Leawood, Kansas. Donna was born at Amoret, Missouri on September 16, 1926 to Raymond Coffin and Thelma (Mager) Coffin. She grew up in La Cygne, Kansas and was a member of the Christian Church. She married Claude Sutherland in 1946 and was employed as a teacher and secretary. After her children were born, she was a full time homemaker. Preceding her in death was her husband, Claude, parents and a brother, Dean Coffin. Donna is survived by her son Mark Sutherland and wife Karen and their children, Scott and Stephanie, a daughter, Joyce Basinger and her husband Brian, and their children, Michelle and husband David DeCamp, Julee(Dylan), Ryan(Selina), Brianne(Brady), six great grandchildren, a brother, Larry Coffin(Kay) nieces, Linda Ludwig, Marcelyn Rust, Jeri Sitek, Cassie Sturgeon, Lori Markham, and a nephew Tim Coffin. Donna will be greatly missed, she loved her family unconditionally. Her children and grandchildren gave her great joy and happiness.
Graveside funeral service will be 11 am Friday, June 16, 2023 at the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Friends and family will gather 10 am Friday at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, La Cygne Chapel.
