Arthur Carl Hetzke, age 91, Mound City, Kansas passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022.  He was born on August 5, 1931 in Newton, Kansas the son of Arthur and Elizabeth(Breck) Hetzke.  He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.  Arthur was united in marriage to Josephine Smith on April 10, 1960.  She preceded him in death on June 28, 2021. 

He was also preceded in death by his parents and a sister Margaret Mason.  Arthur was a member of the Mound City Christian Church.  He enjoyed gardening, tinkering around, and volunteering at such places as food pantries, and homeless shelters.  Arthur is survived by four daughters, Nancy Hetzke, Nanette Knight, Amy Macomber(Jerry), and Sally Orth(Robert), and four grandchildren, Brian, Mark, and Sean Macomber, and Gabrielle Orth.  

Funeral service will be 11am Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel.  Burial in the Richland Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Friday at the Schneider Mound City Chapel.  Memorial contributions are suggested to St Jude Children’s Hospital.  Online condolences can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
