Raymond George Larsen

Raymond George Larsen, 93, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2022, at Via Christi, Pittsburg. He was born April 9, 1929, in Richards, Missouri, the son of George Christian and Myrtle Elizabeth (Schnedler) Larsen. He married Mary Kathryn Brown May 12, 1951, in Bentonville, Arkansas, and she preceded him in death December 7, 2012.

Raymond worked as a mechanic for Ray Shepherd Motors for several years. After he retired, he raised cattle.

Raymond is survived by his children, Diana Larsen, Danny Larsen, both of Fort Scott, and Nona Larsen, of Richards, Missouri; his sisters Ruth Burchett, and Geraldine Neth both of Fort Scott; a brother, Charles “Buck” Larsen, also of Fort Scott; three grandsons, Steven Larsen, Danny Larsen, Jr. and wife Jamie, and Christopher Larsen and wife Mary; four great-grandsons, Jonathan Larsen, Noah Larsen, Malachi Larsen, and Owen Larsen, and two great-granddaughters, Gabrielle Larsen and Madeline Larsen. In addition to his wife Mary, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Larsen, and three sisters, Ruby O’Dell, Alice Gilken, and Helen Larsen.

Following cremation, the family will hold private family services at a later date. Services are under the direction of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W. Wall Street, Fort Scott, Kansas. Condolences may be submitted to the online guestbook at konantz-cheney.com.
