David Kent Hammar

David Kent Hammar, age 82, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022.  He was born in Storm Lake, Iowa the son of William Paul and Hildur Marie Johnson Hammar.  He served his country in the United States Navy Seabees.  David was united in marriage to Leone Reck on September 2, 1960.  David worked in farming or trucking his entire life.  

He was a member of the Pleasanton First Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Alice, a grandson, Matthew, and two brothers, Wendell and Jonathon Hammar.  David is survived by his wife, Leone, four daughters, Cindy Woody, Alisa Bonham, Donna Jean Hicks, and Paula Romang, ten grandchildren, Elizabeth, Robert III, Sarah, Kara, Jennifer, Reilly, David, Melanie, Lacey, and Luke, and nine great grandchildren, Eli, Sophie, Alex, Hayden, Harley, Olivia, Sawyer, Jameson, and Jackson.
