Richard “Rick” Eugene Courtois, age 74, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021.  He was born in Pleasanton, Kansas on February 24, 1947 the son of Charles and Freda Johnson Courtois.  He graduated from Pleasanton High School.  Rick was united in marriage to Margie Jean Orton on December 4, 1965.  To this union, three children were born. 

Margie  preceded him in death on September 29, 1978.  He worked at Rylie Equipment and Contracting for many years before enjoying retirement.  He was also preceded in death by his parents.  Rick is survived by a son, Richard E. Courtois II and wife Janelle, two daughters, Lisa Degrande and Jeannie Anderson and husband Terry, a sister, Charlene Allison(Jerry), eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.  

Graveside service will be held 2:30 pm Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Pleasanton Cemetery.  Individual respects and guest registry can be made from 10 am to 4 pm Friday at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.  Contributions are suggested to Care To Share, c/o Schneider Funeral Home, P.O.
