Roy Dean Edmonds, age 62, Gardner, Kansas, formerly of Blue Mound, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. He was born in Iola, Kansas on August 13, 1958 the son of Thomas Franklin and Ida Mae Moon Edmonds. He attended schools in Blue Mound and graduated from Jayhawk Linn High School in the Class of 1976. He continued his education with a degree from Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, KS. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He was a union welder employed at Jones Lang Lasalle. Roy was united in marriage to Corina Kerscher on November 13, 2010. He had a passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles and loved his dogs. He was preceded in death by his parents. Roy is survived by his wife Corina, a son, Jacob Edmonds, two daughters, Anne Rose Edmonds and Sarah Gayle Edmonds, a stepson, Robbie Maple, step daughter, Amanda Gregg, a sister Shirley Goza(Kirk) and several grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 pm Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the Blue Mound Federated Church. Burial in Sunny Slope Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Friday, July 23, 2021 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel.
