Wayne Anthony Goebel, age 53, Fort Scott, Kansas formerly of Mound City, Kansas passed away Friday May 7, 2021. He was born on January 19, 1968 in Kansas City, Kansas the son of Gary and Eva Alumbaugh Goebel. He graduated from Jayhawk Linn High School in the Class of 1986.
He then proudly served his country in the United States Navy for over twenty years. Wayne was united in marriage to Cynthia Mc Daniels on February 13, 1999. He was a member of the Fort Scott Presbyterian Church and the Masonic Lodge AF&AM #33, Mound City, Kansas. Wayne was currently employed as the Service Manager in the Fort Scott Walmart Automotive Department.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eva in October of 2019. Wayne is survived by his wife, Cyndi, his father, Gary Goebel, sons, Michael, Christopher and Matthew Goebel, two daughters, Rebecca and Ashley Goebel, and three sisters, Monica Mullins, Terri Phyllis(Michael), and Lorinda Needham(John).
Memorial service will be 4 pm Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the Mound City United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 2:30 pm to service time at the Church.
