Robert L. Prettyman, 69, of Nevada, Missouri, formerly of Arcadia, Kansas, died at 7:29 A.M. Monday, January 25, 2021 at Community Springs Healthcare at El Dorado Springs, Missouri.
Mr. Prettyman was born August 26, 1951 at Ft. Scott, Kansas the son of Fred A. and Annabelle Portwood Prettyman. Bob was a farmer and lived in Arcadia most of his life. He was raised in Arcadia and graduated from Ft. Scott High School. He later attended Ft. Scott Community College and received an associate degree. He was a member of the Memphis Lodge #408 Masonic Lodge at Garland and the Ft. Scott Scottish Rites.
Survivors include four nephews, Kerry Schulze of Nevada, Missouri, Jimmy Cannon and David Cannon both of Louisburg, Kansas, and Scott Schulze of Nevada, Missouri, a niece, Toni Reece of Pomona, Kansas, and a sister-in-law, Connie Prettyman of Pomona, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Dorothy Schulze and Judith Cannon, and a brother, Fred A. Prettyman.
Funeral services will be at 10 A.M. Thursday, January 28, 2021 at the Bedene Funeral Home at Arma, Kansas with the Rev. Rick Womack officiating. The Memphis Masonic Lodge #408 at Garland will conduct Masonic Rites. Burial will be at the Rosebank Cemetery at Mulberry, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 9 A.M. to 10 A.M. Thursday prior to the services. Friends may also call 11 A.M. to 4 P.M. Wednesday at the Bedene Chapel. The family suggests memorials to Angels Among Us.
