Joan Mulkey Lewis, age 94, formerly of Mildred, Kansas passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020.  She was born on June 26, 1926 in Bush City, Kansas the daughter of Ralph and Ina Mary Burlingham Mulkey.  She graduated from Mildred High School. 

Joan and Russell Lewis were united in marriage on October 28, 1945.  He preceded her in death on November 17, 1997.  She worked in the gift shop at Bethany Medical Center for many years.  She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Kansas City, Kansas, United Methodist Women and the Bethany Medial Center Auxiliary.   Joan is survived by her son, Robert Lewis and wife Sue, a sister, Jane Cox and two grandchildren, Lisa Wigger and husband Erik, and Robert Lewis Jr.  

Graveside funeral service will be held 11:30 am Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at the Fairview Cemetery, Mildred, Kansas.  Visitation will be held from 10 to 11:30 am at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel.  Contributions can be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church, c/o Schneider Funeral Home, Box J, Mound City, Kansas  66056.  Online condolences can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
