Howard “Carl” Francis, age 87, Blue Mound, Kansas passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020.  He was born on May 7, 1932 in Blue Mound, Kansas the son of Lonnie and Vesta Hopewell Francis.  He graduated from Blue Mound High School. 

Carl worked at different jobs including factory work and truck driving.  However, his love was farming.  He was a member of the American Legion and VFW.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, Norma and Marion.  Carl is survived by his wife Ruby Francis, son, Bob Francis and a daughter, Diane McKinney.  

Livestreaming of a Private Family Service will take place 10:30 am Tuesday, March 31, 2020.  Individual Respects and Guest Registry can be made from 9 am to 5 pm Monday, March 30, 2020 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel.  Burial will be in the Sunny Slope Cemetery, Blue Mound.  The family suggests contributions to St Jude Children’s Hospital or Olson Frary Burkart VFW Post, c/o Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O.
