Mary Eileen Regers, age 80, Hume, Missouri passed Monday December 2, 2019 at Olathe Medical Center. Eileen was born in Brownington, Missouri on December 17, 1938 the daughter of Clifford Irwin and Mary Stella McLerran Parks. She graduated from Appleton City High School.
After graduation, she went to work at City National Bank in Kansas City, Missouri. Eileen was united in marriage to Richard Lee Regers on April 2, 1964. To this union one son was born, Douglas Richard Regers. The family moved to Hume, Missouri in 1968. She was employed at the Hume Bank eventually becoming Vice President. Eileen was very active in the community. She was involved in 4-H, Hume School and PTO, United Methodist Church, the Hume Community Center, and the Over 50 Club.
Eileen’s friends were priceless jewels to her. She lived to help others, including her son and three grandsons. She very much enjoyed attending anything her family was involved in. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, and her parents. Eileen is survived by her son, Douglas Richard Regers, three grandsons, Cody Claflin, Colt Regers, and Clayton Regers and wife Cydnee, a sister, Velma Elaine Hempstead, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 10:30 am Saturday December 7, 2019 at the Hume Christian Church. Burial will be in the Hume Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Friday, December 6 at the Church.
