Eva May Goebel

Eva May Goebel, age 72, Mound City, Kansas passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019 at her home.  She was born on December 27, 1946 in Moran, Kansas the daughter of Russel and Evelyn Kuchera Alumbaugh.  She married Gary Goebel on May 25, 1965 in Miami, Oklahoma.  She was a member of the Mound City United Methodist Church, UMW, Order of Eastern Star and American Legion Auxiliary.

She was a Boy and Girl Scout Leader.  Eva enjoyed painting, reading, sewing and crocheting.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  Eva is survived by her husband, Gary, son, Wayne Goebel and wife, Cyndi, three daughters, Monica Mullins, Terri Phillis and husband Michael, Lorinda Needham and husband John, two brothers, Paul and Alby Alumbaugh, a sister, Jean Jackson and husband LeRoy, eleven grandchildren, Morgan, Adrienne, Truman, Michael, Logan, Courtney, Rebecca, Isabella, Christopher, Matthew and Ashley, and three great grandchildren.  

A memorial service will be held 11 am Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the Mound City United Methodist Church.  Visitation will be held from 10 am to service time at the Church.  Contributions are suggested to the Shriner’s Childrens Hospital.  Online condolences can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
