Marcine L. West, 85, formerly of Redfield, Kansas, passed away Thursday afternoon, August 15, 2019. She was born at home on April 16, 1934, to Albert Henry and Lorenia Long Davis. She was raised on the family farm north of Bronson, near Xenia, Kansas. She married Delbert Eugene West on December 22, 1952, in Mound City, Kansas, he preceded her in death on February 3rd, 1984.
Marcine spent time as a Social Worker and Care Giver and she loved her Farm near Redfield, Kansas.
She is survived by her daughter, Diana (West) Walker of Fort Scott, two sons, Terry West and wife, Patty of Redfield, KS, and Larry West and wife, Clarinda of Asbury, Missouri, grandchildren, Kent Walker and wife, Stacy, Kimberly (Missy) Jones and husband, Chris, Chrystal Cowan and husband Josh, Kayla Collins and husband, J.D., Josh West and wife, Jamie, Mike West and wife, Megan, and Angela West, as well as 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Delbert Eugene, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Ann West, her son-in-law, Kenny Walker, a brother, Alfred Davis and her parents.
Father Robert McElwee will officiate funeral services for Marcine West at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, with burial following in the Woods Cemetery near Redfield. The Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday evening, August 19, at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.
