Roy D. Boner, age 79, of Pleasanton, Kansas passed away Tuesday, April 16th at Medical Lodges of Nevada, Missouri. he was born on April 1, 1940 at Spokane, Washington. Roy served four years in the United States Marines. He had several jobs in his lifetime, a couple of them were a trash truck driver and a mechanic at Cox Motors in Pleasanton.
Roy enjoyed playing pool, fishing and spending time with family and friends. One of Roy”s highlights in his life was being able to walk his daughter, Jennifer down the aisle at her wedding to give her away last September. Roy was preceded in death by both of his parents, wife Belva and a daughter, Janice. He was survived by eight children, daughters, Tammy Bunce and husband Mark of Moran, Kansas, Jennifer Garwood and husband Clayton of Walker, Missouri, Angela Owens and husband, Joe of Mission, Kansas, Joyce Thompson and husband, Sid of Garnett, Kansas, Mary Ashburn and significant other, Joe of Carbondale, Kansas, Barbara Earls of Altus, Arkansas, sons, Richard A Carey of Richmond, Kansas and Richard L. Carey of Westphalia, Kansas, thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren and his sidekick and friend Scott Michels of Pleasanton and many other friends.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Private Family Burial will take place at a later date.
